Competition Works

Competition work, Y’all. Glad to see it working in the hospital industry!

“Local hospitals struggle with larger out-of-town competition” ~ Fierce Healthcare

Local hospitals in New York are facing steep competition from big-city, out-of-town hospitals that are opening up satellite facilities and forming partnerships with area providers

When You get good competition in healthcare, You get good healthcare.

It’s bully politics

“Anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States, the FBI warned on Monday.”

This is just silly. You can be against taxes and regulations without being labeled an enemy of America. Ridiculous. The kind of counter-politics being played by the people of this Democratic Party against Tea Party minded folks is just ridiculous. It’s bully politics, and it’s simply no good.

Why is there a fight against basic American things?

Why is there a fight against basic American things like the U.S. constitution? Why are those fights being led by old media like The New York Times Company?

I am proud of the traditional American approach to freedom. I would like the world to copy what we did in the late 18th Century; I do not want to change our approach to basic human liberty.

I like a constitutional America, based on our existing constitution.

Anonymous May Have Completely Destroyed This Military Law Firm

Interesting:

“Anonymous’ gutting of Puckett & Faraj, the firm that defended the Marines behind the Haditha Killing, might have been more than a major embarrassment. The hack attack might have killed the group entirely.”

Trapier for U.S. Congress, 2014?

Being a good Libertarian/Tea Party/Republican U.S. Congressperson seems simple: You just vote “No” for everything unless it’s for necessary war, and then You vote “Yes” as much as They’ll let You.

I think I can do it.

Some things that I like…

Let’s talk about some things that I like:

1- Entrepreneurial Capitalism
2- Liberty
3- Healthcare Business
4- Finance
5- New Media

I like Entrepreneurial Capitalism because I think that it provides the best way of creating value for societies. I think it also does a good job of redistributing wealth organically, or naturally. Typically, your truest entrepreneurs are not entrenched, old money elites. The truest entrepreneurs tend to be people of medium to low means but yet have great ideas and drive to achieve them. Thus, when societies reward these hard-working, inventive and intelligent risk-taking entrepreneurs with capital; then, society is shifting wealth from old money to new money. New people are then introduced into wealth and, so, wealth is shifted and wealth distribution is kept fresh.

Liberty is great because it allows for entrepreneurial capitalism. I like Healthcare Business because I think it is one of the industries that is most lacking entrepreneurial innovation. Finance I like because money flows are the blood flows of entrepreneurial capitalism. And, I like new media because I find it to be a great creatively destructive force these days.

I Really Wish That People Would Calm Down About The Rich Hating

“Mitt Romney yesterday admitted for the first time that his tax rate is about 15 percent, lower than the rate paid by millions of middle class families. Romney is able to pay such a low rate (even though the top income tax rate is 35 percent) because his income comes overwhelmingly from investments and he is able to use a pernicious loophole available to wealthy money managers.”

~ THINKPROGRESS

People should pay taxes and behave legally, but, darn it, Our taxes are WAY too high. Our taxes are far, far too high. And, so is Our spending at the federal level. And, so is Our borrowing at the federal level.

By the way, if you hate the rich; do you hate? Is hating the rich a form of hate? Explain to me why it’s not, if You think it’s not. It look simply like it is. It looks like hating the rich is a form of hating. Don’t hate, People. Don’t hate. Hate isn’t going to win.

Should Facebook Shut Down, To Protest SOPA & PIPA (i.e., Internet Censorship)?

“So now we know how Mark Zuckerberg feels about SOPA. The Facebook founder made his opposition to the “poorly thought out law” clear — a little belatedly, perhaps, but plainly — in a post on the social network Wednesday. The post is blowing up: it has 250,000 Likes at time of writing, and 100,000 of those were gained in the past hour.

But as many of the commenters on that post have pointed out, talk is cheap. If Facebook really wanted to oppose SOPA, they say, it would do what Wikipedia and dozens of other popular sites across the Internet have done Wednesday. It would go dark for a day in protest, and direct users to contact their representatives.”

Will Data Usage Always Be Priced Like It Is Now?

I’m curious whether You think that We will continue to have data-pricing like We do now; or, maybe, might We have to start paying more for Our data use? Maybe We might even have to pay less in the future.

What do You think?

“T&T has just announced a new set of data plans for smartphones and tablets. As you’d probably guess, they’re a bit pricier than those they replace. On the upside, they’re (ever so slightly) cheaper per megabyte.”

America’s Homeless Need Access to Mental Health Care, and Jobs; Not Child Debt Money

I’m sorry that the stimulus spending is coming to an end in a way that may hurt vulnerable people like the habitually homeless.

I’m sorry, but more debt is not the answer. The homeless need jobs that would be provided by a vibrant economy driven by hard-working, fearless, honest and good-hearted entrepreneurs.

The homeless do not need more debt borrowed from Our children. No one needs that. Sorry.

“Although the recession has officially been over for two years, the worst may be to come for many people. Job losses rose during the last few years. So did wages — barely. Foreclosures went up, as did the number of poor people for whom rent eats up at least half the paycheck. And a federal program believed to have made a major difference in keeping homeowners off the streets is due to expire in a few months.”
